If at first you don’t succeed…

As the old saying goes, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. These baby swans are so comical to watch, having been hatched in the last week (by my best guess) they’re at the fascinating age of seeing this whole new world for the first time. This little buggah finds an interesting blade of greenery and makes a noble lunge but misses completely, without pride he/she winds up and succeeds on the second attempt. Sometimes if it feels like we haven’t succeeded it helps to reflect on what it was like for us when the world was new, before the mundane sets in, before we cultivate fear, pride and slip into habits.
