Ulua Arch

$5.00

At the end of the underwater playground known as Pu Mu (Pu'u is a Hawaiian word for any protuberance, from a pimple to a hill, Mu is a sought after fish known in English as the Bigeye Emperor) this arch acts as the exit gateway to the dive. A deep narrow crack in the lava rock formation makes you feel as if your flying through a massive gorge that gets deeper and narrower until you find yourself facing this 18m / 60ft towering arch normally guarded by one or two massive black Ulua’s (Giant Trivially / GT) and a hidden entrance to a lobster cave known as Aladdins Lamp for its tight squeeze and the shape and geological formation of the cavern. If the conditions permit and it hasn’t been silted out, enter at your own risk, but if you do enter, can’t hurt to make a wish.
